Golden Egge By Astronauto

an immersive, aleatory and interactive ambient music composition

This Record was recorded live in ten consecutive improvisational segments straight to cassette tape in two direct tracks, one for the guitar signal and the other for the synth signal. The resulting composition is 2 hours and 1 second long, presented here in 4 parts as to allow the tracks to fit onto bandcamp. It is intended to function as one piece of music.

The listener is encouraged to listen to this album from several devices simultaneously, starting the recording from random different times on each player, positioning them from different points around them. The free rhythm of the music allows for it to interlock in infinite different combinations, like the notes on a windchime. This allows you to experience the music differently each time you listen to it. Try setting up a circle of speakers around you, all playing the Golden Egge from different times in the tracks, slowly tilting your head in different angles to achieve a natural phasing effect!
